How to elevate your meals with basic pantry items you probably already have in the cupboard.

Trip planning can be challenging enough as it is.  Where to go, how to get there, what to pack, who’s going… with all these questions, you don’t want to add another complication to your life.  So when you’re thinking about what food to pack, it can be easy to fall into the trap of just grabbing the easy, packaged meals. We’ve all been there but we also all know that we can do better.

That’s why i’ve decided to deep dive into the pantry for a 5 part series on easy ways to elevate your pantry items into quick amazing meals. The great part is…you probably already have most of these ingredients right now!

On the Menu:

Instant Rice

Dried Beans

Pasta

Rice Noodles

Eggs/Powdered Eggs

First Up – INSTANT RICE

Good ole Instant Rice.  It may not be fancy. It may not be your favorite side dish at home but there’s a reason we all have it.  It’s cheap. It’s fast. It’s forgiving. It fills you up and it can go with just about anything. But can we take this pantry workhorse and kick it up a notch?  Sure can!
